Conferences Info

BSA attends around 4-5 conferences per year. Our main goal is to send our members to these conferences for free. The conferences that we attend each year are:

  • WOC STEM DTX - This multicultural event presented annually since 1995 in conjunction with the Women of Color magazine has been the premier forum of choice for recognizing the significant contributions of women in the STEM fields.

  • AIAA ASCEND - Powered by AIAA, ASCEND, which stands for Accelerating Space Commerce, Exploration, and New Discovery, is the world’s premier collaborative, outcomes-driven, interdisciplinary community designed to accelerate the building of our off-world future. Here, participants learn more about technical topics and signficant advancements in the aerospace industry.

  • AIAA SciTech - The AIAA SciTech Forum is the world's largest event for aerospace research, development, and technology, showcasing breakthrough science, revolutionary technologies, and generation after next capabilities. Participants attend to network with young professionals, mid-career engineers, professors, students, etc. Events at SciTech span from presentations on research papers to the career fair expo, which showcases a number of companies and their current work.

  • NSBE FRC - The purpose of NSBE’s Annual Fall Regional Conference (FRC) is to further strengthen the foundation and stoke the passion for engineering & STEM innovation. Each region gets together for this annual conference to network amongst each other and grow the mission of NSBE.

  • NSBE AC- Annual Convention brings together black students and professionals who have a passion for science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), who are high achievers in these fields and who are channeling their dedication to advance their communities and society at large. All of the regions get together for AC, which sometimes feels like a family reunion.
